Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who already has his hands full trying to defend President Trump, is being accused of having an affair with a married New Hampshire hospital administrator.
The New York Post says Giuliani’s relationship with Maria Rosa Ryan began before Judith Nathan, Giuliani’s wife of 15 years, filed for divorce in April. Indeed, according to the tabloid, Giuliani, 74, and the 53-year-old Ryan, whose husband is an ex-Marine, were spotted together in March at the Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa in Whitefield, N.H.
“I do know Dr. Ryan. She is a friend of mine, so is her husband, Bob. She’s a PhD and a very, very fine woman,” Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor and onetime Republican presidential candidate, told the Post Tuesday.
Giuliani and Ryan actually appeared on TV together in March when he toured the hospital she runs, and the local ABC affiliate did a story on his visit.
Speaking to the Post, Giuliani acknowledged that he and Ryan were together at the Granite State resort, explaining that they’d dined with two of Ryan’s colleagues and then watched “The Godfather.”
“I was in effect separated by then,” Giuliani said, adding “I never spent the night with her. There’s no proof. There can’t be because we never did anything.”
Giuliani’s wife wasted little time responding to her soon-to-be ex.
“My husband’s denial of the affair with the married Mrs. Ryan is as false as his claim that we were separated when he took up with her,” Nathan told the Post.
