President Donald Trump stirred a new Twitter feud Sunday, saying he should have left three UCLA basketball players in a Chinese jail, after the father of one of the players downplayed Trump’s influence in getting the trio freed.
About six hours after that tweet, Trump followed it up, calling Ball “ungrateful.”
The comments came after LaVar Ball, father of UCLA freshman LiAngelo Ball, brushed off Trump’s involvement in an ESPN interview Friday. “Who? What was he over there for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out,” Ball said.
