President Trump on Sunday urged Americans to “stand strong” in the wake of a mass shooting at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, which left at least 26 people dead.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families in today’s horrible and murderous attack,” Trump said while in Japan as part of his five-nation, 12-day tour of Asia.
“We cannot put into words the pain and grief that we all fear and we cannot begin to imagine the suffering of those who lost the ones they so dearly loved,” Trump said.

He added that “in dark times, such as these, Americans do what they do best — we pull together. We join hands, we lock arms and, through the tears and through the sadness, we stand strong, oh so strong.”
